What is an EPC?
All Properties require an Energy Performance Certificate or EPC when being sold or let. An EPC gives Home Owners, Tenants and prospective buyers an assessment of a property performance rating, in terms of its energy efficiency and environmental impact, to help reduce CO2 output.
An EPC assesses a building by giving it a standard energy and carbon emission efficiency grade from 'A' to 'G', where 'A' is the best and with the average to date being D/E.
Aadnunn is fully accredited with a range of experience in carrying out EPC assessments on any type of dwelling, from one-bedroom flats to large country mansions, the length and breadth of Devon & Cornwall.
Booking an EPC is really simple. Just give us a call on 01872 870 800 we will be happy to take your booking over the phone.
The energy assessor will need to access all rooms as well as the loft. They are also required to inspect heating systems and controls, take measurements and take photographs of all key data included in the survey. The survey is non-invasive and a visual inspection is all that is required. You can ask the assessor how long he expects to be as the time varies between properties.
Energy assessors can input this information on site or at home, to produce an Energy Performance Certificate which is lodged to the central register.
For New Build self-assessments will need the full building specifications & plans to be supplied for the assessment.
